Privacy policy
How we handle your enquiry, contact details and optional location services.
Journey requests
We use your name, email, telephone number, route, dates, flight details and passenger/equipment requirements to answer your request and arrange transport (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Please avoid unnecessary sensitive information in notes.
Operations & communication
Authorized staff and the assigned driver receive the information needed for your journey. Records are held in our separate CRM database. Email is handled through Hostinger; WhatsApp communication uses the business account and WhatsApp’s service. We do not sell your information.
Maps, reviews & location
Optional Google Maps, Places and Routes services load after your permission. Your search and device/network information may be processed by Google. Reviews retain their author and Google attribution. Live location sharing starts only when you choose it and grant browser permission; you can stop sharing at any time.
Storage & protection
We keep enquiry and booking information for handling your journey and applicable legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it. Access is restricted by role. Security logs and necessary session storage support secure operation (Article 6(1)(f)); optional map storage uses your consent (Article 6(1)(a)).
Your choices
Contact info@the-taxi.at to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, or to object where applicable. You can withdraw optional consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority at dsb.gv.at.
